About the Magnolia Run

The Magnolia Run is EFGA's longest running fundraiser (32 years!) and we need your help to make 2015 our best yet. Last year's Magnolia Run was the most successful in the history of the event, with a record breaking 90 teams, more than 1500 participants and raised more than $144,000 - that is $20,000 more than 2013!! We cannot express our gratitude enough to the entire epilepsy community! Thank you for the friends and family of loved ones living with epilepsy who continuously support this event!

The Magnolia Run is held on a fairly flat course around Perimeter Mall and the surrounding streets. The course is accommodating to runners and walkers of all ages, speeds and athletic abilities. Dogs and strollers are welcome, but are asked to keep to the right if moving at a slower speed. Please note, the 5k and 1 Mile will begin simultaneously at 8:00AM. When registering for the 2015 Magnolia Run, participants will need to select either 5k or 1mile.

When registering you will need to select either 5k or 1 mile. If you select the 1 mile, you will not receive a timing chip. Should you decide at a later date that you would like to a timing chip for the 5k, you will need to contact Aly at magnoliarun@epilepsyga.org

Awards will begin around 9:00am and will only be given to the following finishers: Male/Female Overall, Male/Female Masters Overall, and the 1st place finisher for Male/Female in their respective age groups. Awards will also be given to the top 5 fundraising teams.

Come on in, beat the heat and lines, for pre race packet pickup at your local Road Runner Sports store Thursday August 20th from 3-8pm in the Buckhead location, and Friday August 21st from 3-8pm in the Marietta location. Enjoy an exclusive packet pickup offer of $10 off a minimum $30 purchase as well as up to 20% off for all your last minute race gear. Plus don’t miss out on your one FREE entry to the GRAND PRIZE raffle for your opportunity to win a $250 shopping spree at Road Runner Sports. (Plus you can sleep in a little later on Saturday by getting your number in advance!!)

Back By Popular Demand!

EFGA would like to honor and recognize participants who have epilepsy and seizure disorders. EFGA will provide a special PURPLE T-SHIRT for those participants with epilepsy to be worn at the Magnolia Run. When registering please select the size for the Purple T-Shirt. We will mail the t-shirts out prior to the event, deadline to have your shirt before the event is August 1st. Please note this is only for the special purple t-shirt intended to honor those with epilepsy, no race shirts will be given out in advance. THE DEADLINE TO RECEIVE THE PURPLE T-SHIRT IN ADVANCE IS AUGUST 1ST. WE CANNOT GUARANTEE SIZE/AVAILABILITY FOR THOSE WHO REQUEST AFTER AUGUST 1ST.

Form a Team!

You will never walk alone in the Magnolia Run! However, it’s more fun to do it as a team. Forming a team can strengthen family relationships, bring neighbors together and create a sense of camaraderie with your community. Creating a team also allows you to honor or memorialize someone you know or loved in a unique way. EFGA offers special recognition to teams the day of the race and prizes for the top 5 fundraising teams! Teams also encourage creativity, as many choose to create unique "team" shirts on their own to send a special message and enhance their team identity. The day of the Magnolia Run is a rainbow of colors and filled with team spirit. It is truly a unique and empowering experience!

Best of all, teams help to raise dramatically more funds to support the Epilepsy Foundation of Georgia in its’ mission to create a greater quality of life for the more than 150,000 Georgians living with a seizure disorder. Put together your team today and get ready for an experience of a lifetime!

NEW FOR TEAMS -- This year, teams will have the opportunity to create their own signage the morning of the Magnolia Run. EFGA can provide a custom team sign to those who request at registration. We will also be providing posters and markers for those who would like to create their own! If you would like EFGA to provide a sign, please be sure to select the YES check box when registering. Should you decided after registering that you would like your team to have sign, please contact Aly at magnoliarun@epilepsyga.org.
